A WPC in Kosovo has reportedly shot dead her parents and two brothers before turning the service gun on herself.
The incident took place in the town of Gjilan in the district of the same name located in eastern Kosovo when 45-year-old Valdete Bllaca killed her family members after arriving home.
According to local media, the WPC was not allowed to carry a firearm due to unspecified health problems and she stole the service gun to use in the killing spree.
A preliminary investigation indicated that all family members, including Valdete herself, were killed by the same firearm and all the bodies were found in different parts of the house, according to reports.
Local media have identified the siblings as Fisnik, 34, and Blerima, 33, and say that one was found in an upstairs bedroom while the other was found in a nearby hallway.
The body of her 70-year-old father Zekir was reportedly discovered in the living room while her 64-year-old mother Hanifa was found lying in the kitchen.
The suspect allegedly killed herself in the hallway next to a large mirror.
At least two bullets were used on each victim and bloodstains were evident throughout the entire house, according to local media.
Neighbours who heard the gunshots immediately called the police.
Reports said that Bllaca showed up to work at the police station earlier that day and showed no signs to suggest that she was about to carry out such an act.
The motive behind the alleged killing spree is not yet known.
An autopsy on the victim’s bodies has been carried out and their funeral took place on 20th February.
The investigation continues.
