A woman was saved from a horrific sex attack by three men on a holiday beach on the Costa Del Sol when a passerby saw her struggling and called the police.
The victim was drunk when she left a bar near La Malagueta Beach in Malaga at 4am with one of the men on 9th May.
Spanish police said they received a call from a witness informing them that a very drunk woman was being sexually abused by force on the beach.
Officers arrived and surprised the three men as the woman was being sexually assaulted by one of them and the other two were preparing to abuse her as well, according to reports.
The National Police arrested the suspects – Moroccan nationals aged between 31 and 19 – for sexually abusing the woman.
After police rescued the victim, she realised her bag had been stolen and they found her belongings in the possession of one of the suspects.
The trio now face charges of sexual abuse and robbery with violence or intimidation.
The public prosecutor’s office sent a forensic doctor to carry out an extensive examination of the victim at the Maternal and Child Hospital in Malaga.
Following a preliminary investigation, the police said the victim had been having drinks with a couple in a bar near the beach.
At some point, her companions left and she was alone in the venue.
One of the suspects approached her and they enjoyed a friendly chat.
When the victim said she wanted to go home, the man offered to walk her on the beach and she agreed, according to reports.
On the beach, the suspect started to ask if he could kiss the victim before allegedly pouncing on her.
At this point, according to the woman’s statement, the other two men appeared after apparently being notified first.
The investigation continues.
