This footage shows a motorist running over a motorcycle and killing a seven-year-old child in a horrific hit-and-run.

CCTV footage shows the moment the yellow Suzuki hits a motorcycle at a potato stand on a busy street, with people fleeing the scene and attempting to help the injured.
Other images appear to show the fire that started as a result of the accident.
The suspect, who has been named only as Roberto, 31, reportedly took advantage of the chaos and left the scene of the accident in the city of Ecatepec, in the state of Mexico in south-central Mexico, on the afternoon of Wednesday, 9th November.

The suspect, who was identified by the police according to local media, reportedly left his yellow Suzuki car after hitting the potato stand and the motorcycle barefoot before getting into a taxi.
Emergency services arrived quickly on the scene, according to local media, tending to the wounded and removing the course of the young boy for autopsy.
The Ecatepec Public Security and Traffic Directorate indicated that it is working in coordination with the State Attorney General’s Office to arrest the suspect, according to local media.

The municipal government of Ecatepec has said that it is providing support to the family of the young victim, who has only been named as Rodrigo, and that the culprit would be punished to the full extent of the law.
Rodrigo’s grandmother, named only as Mrs Severiana, told local media that the family had only set up the potato stand on the street two days before the accident.
