HIT AND DONE: Man Shot Dead After Ramming Police Cars

This dramatic footage shows Los Angeles deputies shooting and killing a man after he tried to flee in a stolen car before crashing into their police vehicles.

The fatal incident took place in the city of Los Angeles, in the US state of California.

The footage was obtained by Newsflash from the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department, along with a statement that said: “Deputies assigned to Palmdale Sheriff’s Station were driving to a residence in the city of Palmdale to attempt to locate a domestic violence suspect from an earlier incident.”

When two deputies arrived at the location, they reportedly noticed a suspicious driver, later identified as Samuel
Nunez, 26, whom they believed might be their wanted suspect.

They followed Nunez up to a cul-de-sac where he found himself cornered by the two police cars, so he proceeded to ram into them in an attempt to get away.

Body-worn and CCTV footage shows Nunez being commanded by the deputies to step out of the vehicle, but Nunez slammed into one of the police cars once again.

He began revving his vehicle, which prompted one of the deputies to shoot him.

Nunez was struck by gunfire and the vehicle slowly rolled backwards until it crashed into a nearby house.

Paramedics soon arrived, only to declare that Nunez was dead.

No one else was reportedly injured during the incident.

It was later learned that Nunez was not the domestic violence suspect, the Sheriff’s Department said.

However, police later determined that Nunez was driving a stolen vehicle and had a loaded Polymer 80, “Ghost gun,” 9mm semi-automatic handgun.
