Hiker Films Pretty Scenery And Inadvertently Captures Mum In Laws Fatal Fall From 230 Ft Tall Cliff

This is the moment a man out on a hike with his family stops to film the beautiful scenery and inadvertently captures the moment his mother-in-law falls off the edge of a 230-foot-tall cliff.

Kadir Sahiner was filming the picturesque mountain scenery while out on a family hike in the forests around the village of Tepekoy in Turkey’s north-eastern Artvin Province when the tragic accident occurred at noon on Friday, 30th July.

While filming the breathtaking views around him, he inadvertently captured the moment his mother-in-law, 71-year-old Pumpul Karademir, walked over to have a peek over the edge of the 70-metre- (230-ft-) tall cliff and accidentally took a tumble.

The tragedy unfolded in front of Kadir, Pumpul’s husband Mehmet Karademir, her daughter Ayla, and her granddaughter Ceren, and their shrieks of despair can be heard in the recording.

Ayla could also be heard warning her mother “don’t go, mum, no, mum, don’t go” as she approached the cliff edge just before her fatal fall.

The police and paramedics were called to the scene and, following an hour-long search, found the elderly woman’s dead body, which they took to the morgue at the public hospital in the nearby town of Savsat.
