High-Priority Offender Arrested After Dangerous Chase In Stolen Vehicle

This is the impressive moment an ex-convict and robbery suspect gets arrested by an officer following a dramatic foot chase.

The 33-year-old suspect – who identity was not revealed – caught the attention of a Special Investigations Unit (SIU) sergeant who reportedly spotted him getting inside a stolen pickup truck on 14th March.

The truck had been stolen at gunpoint 12 days earlier in Edgewood.

SIU deputies observed a known violent offender enter the truck and drive away before initiating a pursuit.

The chase escalated when the suspect rammed two patrol cars, then leaped onto a patrol car and continued hopping from car to car to evade arrest.

The SIU sergeant, a former college track star, managed to catch up with the suspect as he jumped over a fence.

A patrol deputy then used a taser to subdue the suspect, who was subsequently taken into custody.

A gun was discovered inside the truck, and the 33-year-old suspect faces multiple charges, including two counts of assault and obstructing.

The bail was reportedly set at USD 75,000 (GBP 60,000).

The suspect, classified as a high-priority offender, has a history of convictions dating back to 2009 and remains in custody.
