This is the moment two quick thinking men are lifted up to a second-floor window by a digger so they can rip free burglar bars and rescue a teenage girl from a blazing flat.

The incident was filmed in the city of Lora del Rio in the province of Seville in the southern Spanish autonomous community of Andalusia.

According to local media, firefighters tried to get into the flat through the front door, but the flames had spread all over the property and they could not gain access.

The footage shows a 16-year-old girl at a window on the second floor of a building that’s on fire who is trapped by burglars bars.

Two unnamed residents are then seen being lifted to the smoking window by a digger before the burglar bars are ripped out and the teen is pulled free as a crowd of onlookers applaud.

A neighbour is heard saying: “Look at that, thank God!”

None of the cops or firefighters who appear to be on the scene are seen helping during the rescue.

Reports said the teenager, whose name has not been reported, was airlifted to hospital by a helicopter where she is being treated for minor burns injuries.

The rescue finally happened after 45 minutes in which police and firefighters were previously unable to rescue the teen despite hosing the property down and also trying to enter through the front door.

Two dogs were also rescued from the blaze.
