This is the moment an American bully dog has to be rescued after jumping into pool only to discover it cannot swim.
The burly bully leapt into the water, but instead of even attempting the doggy paddle, it sunk straight to the bottom.
CCTV footage of the drama – in Hainan Province, southern China on 27th December – shows the pooch simply walking along the bottom of the pool.
It’s eventually saved when a man jumps in and lifts it onto the side of the pool.
But then a Doberman joins in, leaping into the water as soon as the other dog is out.
The man then turns his back to watch the Doberman swimming and laughs, at which point, the bully plops right back in, and again begins to sink again.
The man pulls the tubby pup out of the pool yet again and passes it to a nearby woman as he tries to put an end to the struggle.
And the video of the hilarious drama was later posted on Douyin, which is what TikTok is called in China.
User ‘Stone’ was in apparent disbelief and commented: “I have always believed that dogs are born to swim, and every time I teach others to swim, I use dogs as a metaphor. I have never seen a dog that can’t swim.”
