A Hells Angel wanted for the gruesome murder of another biker is said to working with Iran’s Revolutionary Guard to carry out attacks on Jewish targets in Germany, it has emerged.
Biker Ramin Yektaparast, 33, reportedly fled to Iran in 2021 after allegedly killing a fellow member of the Hells Angels.
Now he is said to be behind a spate of recent attacks on Jewish institutions in the German state of North Rhine-Westphalia.
German police say he is carrying out state-organised terrorism on behalf of the Iranian regime.
Investigators believe that Yektaparast is heading up a commando unit to carry out attacks in Germany, according to local media.
German security agents reportedly found references to him on the mobile phone of a 35-year-old German-Iranian, who has not been named.
The Hells Angels leader is believed to have been commissioned to carry out attacks on synagogues in Dortmund, Bochum and Essen.
At least three shots were fired at a former rabbi’s house at the old Synagogue in Essen on 18th November.
Investigators believe the incident could be related to an arson attack on a school in Bochum the same night.
One investigator told German daily Bild: “We suspect that this terror is state-controlled, that the Iranian Revolutionary Guards are distracted from their current problems in their own country so that their arch-enemy wants to harm Israel.”
Ramin Yektaparast is wanted for the murder of a fellow Hells Angel named only as Kai M., 32.
According to the indictment, he was shot by Yekataparast and then dismembered.
The body parts were later found in the Rhine river and in the Rhine-Herne Canal.
Yekataparast’s alleged accomplices are currently on trial in Duisburg but Yekataparast reportedly fled to Iran.
A German investigator told local media: “There can be several reasons why a rocker and serious criminal is collaborating with the Iranian Revolutionary Guards.
“On the one hand, he was in contact with Salafists in Mönchengladbach, and on the other hand, he must hope that he will continue to be protected from German criminal prosecution in Iran. Of course you have to help the Iranian state sometimes.”
German media report that security precautions at synagogues and Jewish institutions in Germany are to remain at the highest level until further notice.
Police officers with additional bulletproof vests and submachine guns are reportedly visible everywhere at buildings deemed potential targets.
And personal protection for Jewish dignitaries has reportedly been increased.
The Hells Angels Motorcycle Club is a worldwide motorcycle club whose members typically ride Harley-Davidson motorcycles. Numerous police and intelligence agencies consider the club to be an organised crime syndicate.
