These are the adorable quadruplets that have been born before their due date and are now out of danger after spending time in intensive care in what has been termed a “Christmas miracle.”

Finja, Hanna, Ina and Noah were born in November but they were not due before early 2020 and had to be kept in intensive care, a hospital spokeswoman confirmed.

The four tots were born at the St Hedwig Clinic in Regensburg in the southern German state of Bavaria.

According to the clinic, the four tots are now healthy enough to be released and so they will be able to spend their first Christmas at home.

The head of neonatology, Matthias Wellmann, said that quadruplets are often small when they are born but that if they can be released healthy, “it is a great day for all of us.”

In May 2001, David, Florian, Laura and Thomas were born as quadruplets at the same hospital and they have taken the opportunity of the birth of Finja, Hanna, Ina and Noah to visit them, as seen in this photo.

Netizens were quick to offer their congratulations, with ‘Simone Silber’ saying: “All the best to the whole family.”

While ‘Brigitte Obenhofer’ added: “Congratulations to the parents and the four little ones. Good luck and good health!”

And ‘Apolonia Johnson’ said: “Congratulations and Merry Christmas.”

Regensburg’s medieval city centre is a UNESCO World Heritage Site and is often among the top sights and travel attractions in Germany.
