A police officer is being investigated for allegedly starring in adult films while on duty.

Christian Goggans, 30, is suspected of making pornographic films while on duty in the city of Phoenix, in the US state of Arizona and he now faces an internal investigation, according to local media.

Goggans, who has reportedly been a cop for two years, is accused of creating pornographic content while on duty under the stage name “Rico Blaze” and with the Twitter handle “RicoBlazeX”.

The videos are said to be extremely graphic, with local media saying that while he was on duty and working from home, he also travelled to Las Vegas to produce and star in a number of pornographic videos.

The Phoenix Police Department said in a statement: “We can confirm there is an open internal investigation underway involving Officer Goggans.”

The police added: “Officer Goggans was on home assignment prior to the start of the investigation for unrelated and non-disciplinary reasons.”

It is reportedly not the first time that the police officer has been investigated internally by the police department, according to local media, although details about the other investigations are currently unclear.

Goggans had reportedly said in an interview in August 2021 that he had been in the adult industry for seven months, adding that he was “born to” work in porn, adding that it is “like a job where you want to come to work.”

According to the Phoenix Police Department’s policies, any actions, including making pornography, that discredit the department are a violation of its ethics.

No further information on the department’s actions in regard to the investigation into Officer Goggans had been released at the time of this writing.

The investigation is ongoing.
