This is the moment a local resident films a luxury car stuck in a narrow alleyway after its hapless owner misjudged the width and unsuccessfully tried to drive through.

The clip was filmed in the neighbourhood of Parque Amazonia in the city of Goiania, the capital of the Brazilian state of Goias.

According to local residents, the driver tried to pass through the narrow alleyway on the night of Sunday, 10th October.

He apparently massively misjudged the width of the alleyway in relation to the width of his high-end car, and ended up wedging the vehicle between two walls halfway through.

Local residents called the police and officers who arrived on the scene after the driver had already left were able to confirm that the car was not stolen.

After abandoning his vehicle at the scene, the driver arranged for it to be removed from the alleyway on the afternoon of Tuesday, 12th October.

It is unclear how the driver got out of his car, but from observing the footage, it appears he probably had just about enough space to climb through an open window.

Reporters who presented the story on TV news programme ‘Bom Dia Goias’ also speculated that he may have exited the vehicle via its boot.

According to news outlet UOL, the car in the clip is a Mercedes A200 Turbo, whose 2019/2020 model sells for around BRL 220,000 (GBP 29,088) locally.

The driver’s identity was not divulged.
