This is the painful moment a cheeky shopper learns that not everything behind the counter is for sale.

CCTV from a grocery shop in Turkey shows him getting a teeth-rattling smack around the mouth when he asked the female assistant if they could have sex.

Footage from the store has hit the rounds since it was recorded in Istanbul, Turkey’s largest city, on 29th December.

The young man is seen paying the cashier and then walking off before turning back.

Using international sign language, no one could doubt he reportedly asked her if she fancied sex in the storeroom at the back of the shop.

Furious, the woman comes from behind the counter to make him ask her again before delivering a massive slap across his left cheek.

Astonished, he steps back and is quickly shoved and manhandled out of the shop onto the street.

Local media report that the young man spoke poor Turkish and was a foreigner sparked a racist backlash online.

Gizem Gul Tercan said: “I don’t know why the media uses words like ‘foreign national’ to try to soften people’s reactions. It’s not like he’s Scottish. He’s surely an Afghan or Syrian.”

While Tarik Bey added: “If he were a Turkish citizen, he would have been arrested.”

And Omer Ali said: “The blame is not on this bastard, the blame is on those who let him into the country.”
