GUN GOD: Driver Sets Off High-Speed Chase In A Bid To Hide Fully-Loaded Semi-Automatic Handgun

This is the moment police officers enter a high-speed chase with a fleeing suspect who was hiding a fully-loaded gun and refused to be searched during a traffic stop because it violates his ‘God-given right’.

Newsflash obtained the footage from the Riverside County Sheriff’s Department, along with a statement according to which the incident took place after deputies from the Jurupa Valley Station conducted a traffic stop of a vehicle in the city of Jurupa Valley, in the US state of California.

In the footage, the deputies can be seen approaching the driver, later identified as Jeovanni Ramirez, 31, and made it known that his licence plates have expired since 2018.

When asked to step out of his pick-up truck to be searched for weapons, Ramirez suddenly becomes extremely defensive and questions the deputies’ actions.

He can be heard saying: “You can’t search me. That’s my God-given right!” as he argues with the two cops before jumping back into his truck and driving off, dragging a deputy a short distance.

The two officers go chasing after him up until the point Ramirez reaches a steep hillside and is left with no way to go.

He drives backwards and crashes into the deputies’ car, which in turn caused one of the deputies to shoot a couple of rounds at him.

Ramirez was not struck by gunfire and was later arrested, according to the Sheriff’s Department.

A loaded semi-automatic handgun was discovered under Ramirez’s seat after a search of his vehicle.

The injured deputy was transported to a local hospital and is receiving medical treatment, the Department said.

He is expected to be released and his injuries are considered non-life threatening.
