GUN BATTLE: Suspect Shoots Cop During Arrest Warrant Gunfire

This is the tense moment a sergeant is shot in gunfire as police were attempting to serve an arrest warrant.

The footage from 6th January shows the police officers in front of the door of the suspect, identified as Kenneth Hearne, 37, in the city of Phoenix, Arizona, USA.

Scottsdale Police Department said in a statement obtained by Newsflash: “Detectives from the Special Assignment Unit (SAU) were attempting to serve a search warrant on investigative lead 37-year-old Kenneth Hearne related to a sexual assault occurring in Scottsdale at the San Marin Apartments on October 12, 2022.

“The search warrant was granted by a judge for the collection of DNA, forensic evidence, and digital evidence. Hearne also had an arrest warrant out of the City of Mesa.”

An unnamed woman holding a pet dog and a child can be seen being safely evacuated.

As the suspect seems to be hiding in the apartment, he ignores the police orders to go out, and when they reportedly toss a viewing device, he starts shooting, injuring Sergeant Galbraith.

The police fire, and it is not known whether he was injured in the shootout, according to police.

The statement also said: “Sergeant Galbraith was immediately extracted by medical personnel.

“Our team continued commands, and it is believed Hearne left the apartment out of a rear accessway on the second story.

“The investigation was turned over to the Phoenix Police Department once Hearne left the apartment.”
