Police officials are working hard to figure out whether an airport employee deliberately sprayed water from a fire engine on a building out of anger or if the vehicle simply malfunctioned.
The strange incident which took place at King Shaka International Airport in the city of Durban, South Africa, quickly became a hotly debated topic all over the internet.
Online users are speculating about what might have made the airport employee so frustrated that he felt the need to douse a nearby airport building with huge amounts of water.
In the video, the individual who according to many online sources was an angry employee of the Airports Company South Africa (ACSA), was filmed spraying a building within the airport with water first from high up in the air, then to a couple of floors on the building itself and lastly onto cars that were parked in the vicinity.
Many were baffled as the individual can be seen seemingly going ‘crazy’ with the giant water hose.
It is not yet clear if something caused the employee to have a mad outburst or if it was an accident.
King Shaka airport, which has a capacity capability of 7.5 million passengers per annum, said that there would be no effect on operations.
The incident is currently being investigated by the South African Police Service (SAPS).
