This six-year-old girl has been shot to death along with her father while fleeing gunmen who chased them for several blocks.
Agustina was just six years old when she was shot dead along with her 26-year-old father, Jhans Ceballos, in the city of Ovalle, which is located in Limari Province, in the region of Coquimbo, in central Chile.
The heartbroken family of the two victims is demanding justice for the cold-blooded murders and asking that the authorities do their utmost to find the perpetrators.
Tamara Jazmin Ite, who is reportedly the young girl’s aunt and her father’s sister, said: “Unfortunately, my six-year-old niece was taken from us. She had the right to live and be free, she had the right to grow up.”
She added: “The only thing we ask for is justice for my niece, because her life was taken from her by criminals.”
Tamara also said: “My brother and my niece died at the hands of criminals, because this was at point-blank range. They did not put themselves in my niece’s place.”
The brother-in-law of the victim and uncle-in-law of little Agustina, named as Boris Molina, joined the family’s demand for justice, saying: “A girl who was six years old, who was just living. We ask for justice so that no stone is left unturned, it cannot take years for something to happen. They must arrest the culprits.”
The police investigation into the double murder is ongoing. No arrests had been announced at the time of writing.
