This is the moment an angry mob beats a 17-year-old girl after her mother allegedly strangled her tiny baby.

Ana Maria Patino Fabro, just three months old, was taken to the Finochietto health centre by her 53-year-old grandmother, name not reported, in the Argentine capital Buenos Aires on 15th January.

The girl was pronounced dead on arrival and doctors diagnosed marks on her neck and face that suggested strangulation, and subsequently alerted the police.

Officers arrived at the medical centre and arrested the victim’s grandmother who allegedly claimed that the tot was fatally injured in an accident.

The baby’s death shocked residents in the area of the victim’s home in Ingeniero Budge and the baby’s teen mother was reportedly targeted by an angry mob.

In the footage, several women are seen beating and kicking the 17-year-old girl on the ground.

At one point, three women kick her on the ground as one of them brandishes a small wooden plank.

The mob shouts “murderer” and “kill her” as they take turns hitting the dead baby’s mother.

Meanwhile, the main suspect in the baby Ana Maria’s death, her 53-year-old grandmother, is being kept in custody on a charge of aggravated homicide.

The investigation is ongoing.
