This is the moment a 15-year-old girl falls out of the open doors of a moving minibus and is crushed under its wheels.

The minibus was being driven by Haydar Vural, age not disclosed, when Helin Dogan, 15, a high school student who was standing up inside the vehicle while it was travelling along the road, fell through the open doors.

A CCTV camera at a nearby shop recorded the incident as it unfolded. The video footage shows the teen in black clothing falling from the minibus and getting crushed under its rear wheels.

The driver is then seen stopping the bus, and several people who had just witnessed the incident rush over to the injured teenage girl to help her.

According to reports, Dogan was seriously injured after being run over by the minibus, and she was first attended to by paramedics on the scene before being rushed to the intensive care unit of a nearby hospital.

The Ankara Chief Public Prosecutor’s Office launched an investigation into the incident, and Vural was placed under arrest and questioned by the police.

The driver told his interrogators that he did not realise that the doors were still open when the victim fell out onto the road.

Vural has reportedly been released with judicial restrictions as the investigation continues.

There have been no further updates on the health status of the teen victim, who was last reported to be fighting for her life in the intensive care unit.
