This German soldier and Afghanistan war veteran has reportedly killed his wife, two children, and mother-in-law shortly before setting the house on fire and killing himself.

The shocking tragedy happened when the man identified as Daniel K. stabbed his wife, daughters and mother-in-law at the family home in the municipality of Radevormwalf in Germany.

What seemed like a picture-perfect marriage on social media ended when it turned out that his wife Jana K., who worked as a school teacher, had started an affair with a dog breeder named Nils J. in August 2019.

The woman and her lover were both dog breeders and her husband who did not realise what was going on had even befriended him, only recently helping him tile his bathroom.

According to an acquaintance of theirs: “It was a public secret that Jana hooked up with Nils. Daniel was the only one who didn’t notice anything.”

Several days before she was murdered, Jana decided to tell her husband that she wanted a divorce and also demanded the three dogs that they owned.

After finding out about his wife’s love affair with the man from Lower Saxony, the 41-year-old soldier was unable to deal with the situation any longer and decided to take things into his own hands.

According to reports, the soldier first stabbed and killed his 37-year-old wife in their family home in the North Rhine-Westphalia state on 12th February.

His next victims were reportedly his daughters, 4-year-old Mila and 1-year-old Anna, followed by his mother-in-law Gisela H., 77, who lived in their house extension.

According to investigators, shortly after committing the crimes, the soldier set his home on fire and took his own life.

During the bloody incident, he only spared the lives of their three dogs.
