A gay German who fancied a snack after sex with his boyfriend has been charged with murder after he killed and ate his new lover.

Shocked police say there is no indication that the boyfriend realised he was on the menu when he agreed to a one night stand with maths and chemistry teacher Stefan R., 41, from the German capital of Berlin.

Cops say the teacher murdered fitter Stefan Trogisch, 43, on 6th September last year.

The alleged killer found his victim through a dating portal and they later met in Stefan R.’s apartment in Pankow which is the second-largest borough of Berlin to have sex.

Police found that the teacher had previously looked up keywords such as “Longpics” and “Fatten and slaughter people” on the darknet, which are online terms associated with cannibalism.

After sex and armed with information on how to kill, cook and eat people, he allegedly murdered his lover and ate him.

Police say Stefan R. had cut up his lover in his apartment, and the remains that he did not eat were then dumped in various locations around the German capital.

There were no indications that the victim had consented to the act or had any idea that he was on the menu when he turned up to meet his new boyfriend.

Two months after Stefan Trogisch was reported missing by his flatmates (5th September 2020), walkers discovered a meatless leg bone in a park near the Schonerlinder Chaussee area in the city of Berlin on 8th November.

Then more of his body parts started to appear in various locations in Berlin, and unlike the earlier leg bone where the flesh had been removed, some body parts found in the Pankow borough in the city of Berlin had meat tissue still attached that helped in identifying the victim, and eventually the alleged killer.

When police raided Stefan R.’s apartment in November 2020, investigators found 25 kilos of a cleaning agent called sodium hydroxide, also known as lye and caustic soda, that is also “suitable for dissolving human tissue”.

In addition, relevant tools such as knives and saws as well as traces of blood were also discovered in the basement.

The 41-year-old teacher, who was active in gay forums, was arrested on 18th November 2020, and has been in custody ever since.

After evaluating and summing up evidence against the suspect, the Public Prosecutor of Berlin announced that the suspect Stefan R. has now been charged with murder on Tuesday 18th May 2021.

It was not revealed whether a date has been set for the trial.
