This is the moment a pack of bears in the woods surround a parked tractor as one of the animals wonders over and apparently begs for food on its hind legs.
The incident was filmed in the eastern Russian region of Yakutia, officially known as Sakha Republic, and later posted on Instagram by netizen ‘bult_alt’ where it has been widely viewed.
According to local media, around a dozen bears ventured out of the woods to approach the noisy tractor in hope of something tasty to eat.
In the footage, the bears are seen entering the clearing as the noise of a tractor’s engine fills the air.
The cameraperson zooms in on one large bear that appears to be bothered by the disturbance as a smaller bear approaches in the distance.
In the next scene, the curious small bear is seen next to the tractor before standing on its hind legs, apparently in the hope of receiving a treat.
The clip was accompanied by the message: “The begging bears are waiting for a handout!”
Netizen ‘Nadezhdacerniadeva’ commented: “I think they are waiting for someone to fall out of the noisy vehicles to munch on.”
‘Eugen1978’ said: “The noise of the engine is like a dinnertime bell for the bears.”
‘Galinalucijush’ wrote: “Bears on the prowl! ‘Get the two-legged beasts, they cut our trees and ruined everything’.”
