A Mexican medical company has created a futuristic inflatable suit to protect healthcare workers from COVID-19 and keep them cool at the same time.

Scientists from XE Medica Ambulance, which supplies medical equipment and services, have created the novel new inflatable suit that can also be used against other diseases.

The suits were created so they can fully protect medical personnel without the need of any additional protection.

Scientists created the suits to be comfortable as typical PPE can sometimes be uncomfortable with little ventilation, especially in hot temperatures.

The suits have a battery that can last up to eight hours and can be recharged with a power bank.

It also contains a device that delivers fresh air to medics while also regulating their body temperature.

Fernando Aviles, owner and director of XE Medica Ambulance, told local newspaper Excelsior: “We were looking for something completely hermetical. AT the same time, we solved other problems like heat and temperature from the hot sun.”

He added: “Personnel can make better decisions when they feel fresh and relaxed.”

The company plans to start mass production of the new suits soon.
