Funny Moment Anaesthetised Woman Moves Empty Hands As If Using Mobile Phone

This is the moment a female patient plays with an invisible mobile phone while under anaesthetic.

The funny scene was filmed at a health centre in the Chinese capital Beijing while the woman, name not disclosed, was undergoing a medical procedure.

Doctors said they noticed the woman “pretending to play with her phone” while anaesthetised, adding that the patient appeared very engrossed in what she was doing. One doctor joked that he wondered if she managed to get a good signal.

A healthcare worker filmed the incident and asked the patient if they could share the clip online, adding that it was very amusing.

In the video, the patient is seen lying on her back with her hands raised several inches from her face as if she is playing on her phone.

Medics try to get the patient’s attention, but she is fixed on her invisible phone, occasionally going through the motions of using her thumb to flick through items of interest.

At the end of the video, doctors assert pressure on the woman’s collarbone area and help her to sit up.

As the patient sits upright, she apparently continues holding her hands in front of her as if still playing on her see-through smartphone.
