Russian singer and ex-t.A.T.u vocalist Lena Katina has divorced her husband after the couple apparently “fell out of love” with each other.
t.A.T.u are Russia’s most successful ever pop act with their hit “All the Things She Said” reaching number one in 19 countries including the UK, Russia and Australia.
The 34-year-old has a son with Slovenian rock musician Sasho Kuzmanovich who she has been married to for six years.
The divorce was supposed to be finalised in a closed hearing last month, but was delayed because they could not agree over who would have custody of their son which will dictate where he lived.
In the end it was settled behind closed doors with no details revealed, although it appears that the boy named Alexander would stay with his mother, with complete access to the father.
After the news of the divorce was made public, it was revealed that Lena had gone to Bulgaria for a break.
The singer and songwriter is best known for her work with Russian duo t.A.T.u.
She began singing at the age of eight before teaming up with her partner Julia Volkova to form t.A.T.u.
The band split up around 2011 with Lena forging a successful career as a soloist, however she is fiercely protective of her private life and for example rarely posts any pictures with her son.
Insiders told Russian media that when the marriage cooled, the pair had tried to bring it back on track but when they failed, they had agreed to file for divorce.
