This is the moment an unlicensed driver mixes up the pedals and crushes a woman paying at the petrol station window.
The shocking incident was filmed at a service station in the Malaysian state of Sabah, and the woman miraculously escaped with only cuts and scrapes.
In the footage, the victim is seen paying for her petrol at the counter before the red car behind her suddenly shoots forwards.
The car rams the woman against the wall and she falls backwards on the ground.
An attendant helps the victim sit up as the driver reverses away from the apparently damaged wall.
According to local reports, the victim was paying at the patrol station window after filling up her car when the red Proton Exora suddenly lunged forwards and crushed her against the wall.
Police spokesperson Jasmin Hussin said the 52-year-old woman only suffered minor injuries to her legs after the incident.
However, the petrol station counter was badly damaged when the unlicensed female driver crashed into it.
Hussin said: “After starting the engine, she (driver) stepped on the accelerator thinking it was the brake, causing the car to shoot forwards and crash into the victim.”
According to local reports, the police also discovered that the motorist did not have a driver’s licence.
Hussin confirmed that the incident is being investigated under the country’s Road Transport Act of 1987.
