Footage has emerged showing how Ukrainian politicians honoured International Women’s Day by hiring two scantily-dressed female dancers to perform a raunchy routine.
The unusual performance took place at the City Hall in Kherson in the south-central Ukrainian region of Kherson Oblast, and featured the band ‘Step’.
Shortly before the regional council session, Step performed a raunchy number called ‘Zhareniy Kabanchik’ (‘Roasted Boar’) to honour International Women’s Day (IWD) which took place the day before on 8th March.

In the footage, viewed 400,000 times on Facebook, the band is seen performing the song as two scantily-dressed female dancers wear revealing black dresses and ripped fishnet stockings.
The incident was criticised for honouring IWD with such a raunchy routine, and the band’s frontman Andrey Cherednyuk responded: “The regional council is not a church.”
However, not everyone saw the routine as inappropriate and netizen ‘Yulchik Kozachek’ commented: “I think they should use this song instead of the national anthem!”
Facebook user ‘Konstantin rapid’ remarked: “I think this is nuts!”
