Footage Released Showing UK Cops Tasering Drunk Bank Robber Who Smashed Van Into Bank And Tried To Open Safe With Grinder

This is the moment cops rush into a bank and tase a drunk bank robber who crashed his van into the bank’s entrance and got caught red-handed using an angle grinder as he tried to cut down a door that led to the bank’s safe.

Jon Ismajli, 26, attempted to rob the Nationwide building society branch in the town of Westerham in the Sevenoaks District of Kent, England, on 24th October (2020) but the footage of his dramatic arrest was not released until yesterday (24th June).

In the footage, the cops can be seen speeding towards the scene of the crime under the cover of darkness whilst one of the officers checks his taser.

The cops arrive at the Nationwide branch only to find that Ismajli had smashed through the front face of the building with his van.

The cops jump out of their car, quickly make their way around the red van and into the building.

They find Ismajli inside wielding an angle grinder with which he is trying to cut his way through the heavy metal door that stands between him and the bank’s cash reserves.

Ismajli botched bank robbery ends when the cop pulls a taser out and fires on Ismajli who falls to the ground and drops the angle grinder before he ever even got near the bank’s money.

Ismajli was arrested and charged with burglary, attempted theft and driving while over the legal alcohol limit.

He pleaded guilty when he appeared before Medway magistrates on Thursday 29 October and was released on bail ahead of his sentencing at Maidstone Crown Court on a date to be determined.
