This is the moment a flight passenger tries to do a pee on the runway just before he boards a plane in Lanzarote.

The bizarre scenes were recorded as passengers were boarding a flight, the destination of which has not been reported, at Cesar Manrique-Lanzarote Airport on the popular destination island of Lanzarote, one of the Spanish Canary Islands.

In the video, a male passenger can be seen standing by the plane and he appears to undo his belt as he prepares to urinate on the tarmac.

An airport worker who had spotted the cheeky passenger and began recording the incident can be heard shouting: “You cannot wee there! Come on! Get on the plane!”

The passenger hears the worker’s shouts and then does up his shorts before walking back towards the plane, putting his thumbs up to the camera.

The airline has not been confirmed in local media but the plane appears to belong to Binter Canarias, a Spanish airline based in the Canary Islands.

Cesar Manrique-Lanzarote Airport reportedly handled 7,327,019 passengers in 2018 and is named after local artist Cesar Manrique.
