Florida Woman Stabs Ex-Hubby In Chest And Flees With Kids

A woman in Florida has allegedly stabbed her ex-husband in the chest and then fled with their two daughters, sparking a manhunt.

The incident took place in Lake Mary, on the outskirts of Orlando in the US state of Florida, on Saturday 13th November, when a woman named by police as Di’Last Kellie, age not reported, allegedly stabbed her ex-husband, name not reported, in the chest with a knife before fleeing the scene.

Florida police shared images of two of the woman’s children, believed to be with her, on social media and asked people to help them find them.

It is currently unclear what sparked the incident that resulted in Natasha Hurtado, 10, and Lilianna Hurtado, 13, allegedly going missing along with their mother.

The Seminole County Sheriff’s Office took to Facebook to share the images and said: “At around 5:30 p.m. on November 13th, 2021, deputies responded to the Colonial Grand Apartment in unincorporated Lake Mary in reference to a stabbing.

“The male victim told deputies his ex-wife, Di’Last Kellie, stabbed him in the chest with a knife then fled the scene in an unknown direction of travel.

The Florida Department of Law Enforcement took to Twitter to share a missing child alert including photographs of the trio, saying: “Pls share! FL MISSING CHILD Alert, Natasha Hurtado, 10, & Lilianna Hurtado, 13, last seen in Heathrow, may be with Di’Last Kellie, believed to be armed & dangerous.

“If located, DO NOT APPROACH. Contact Seminole County Sheriff’s Office at 407-665-6650 or 911.” (sic)

Seminole County Sheriff’s Office then posted an update in which it said that the missing children had been found safe and sound. It said: “The FDLE Missing Child Alert for Natasha and Lilianna Hurtado has been cancelled. The children are safe. Thank you for your assistance.”

It is, however, currently unclear if the suspect has been apprehended.

It is also currently unclear if the victim is still in a critical condition in hospital, and it is similarly unclear if the children have been taken in by social services or are currently being cared for by a relative.
