FLIPPING FLEX: Contortionist Shows Off His Mind-Bending Skills

A professional contortionist has revealed how he goes about his normal life when he is not bending his body for performances.

Oyindamola Kolawole – known to fans as Dflex – is one of the world’s top twisters and shot to fame on the TV show Nigeria’s Got Talent.

Now he has given Newsflash access to a series of extraordinary videos showing how his amazing skills work out in real life.

He told Newsflash that he first discovered these skills on the playground.

He said: “I discovered my talent in my secondary school on the playground.

“The first thing I realised I could do was ‘jump ropes’ with my hands.

“This is when you interlock your fingers and take them over your head and back. After this, I discovered a lot of other things from practising and then I knew I had the talent.”

Dflex went on to give a spectacular performance on America’s Got Talent last year and earned a standing ovation from the judges.

One of the videos he shared with Newsflash had been recorded at a gym where he trains.

As Dflex pulls a series of cable crossovers with his arms, his legs are bent right over behind him, kept in place by heavy barbells.

In a second one – when he goes shopping at Walmart – he hops in a disabled buggy with his legs clamped behind his neck as he picks food from the shelves.

Other videos show him perched on the saddle of an electric bicycle with his feet behind his head and one of him showing how contortionists sleep.

Dflex said: “People give a very weird reaction whenever I’m performing and sometimes I find it fun and interesting because it makes me more active and hyped when performing.”

The professional said he spends many hours training and practising his skills.
