This five-year-old pictured with a flight attendant on his first time on a plane enjoyed himself so much he decided to become one and was amazed when he found out 15 years later his mentor was the same woman.

The boy, Xu Yang Feng, who is now 20, was not at all nervous about boarding a plane with his parents as a child, and particularly enjoyed asking questions of the flight attendant who agreed to a photograph before he reluctantly left the plane with his parents.

The love of flying never changed though and as soon as he was old enough, he signed up with the Civil Aviation Flight Academy where he is now in his third year, and last month he started his internship to be a steward with China Eastern Airlines.

However, he admitted he did not expect to meet a familiar face when he started on his internship in the form of the same stewardess who he had met 15 years previously. He recognised her immediately, and when he reminded her about the picture she remembered him too.

The woman, identified only by her surname Fang, said she remembered him as a cute and chubby child and the pair then even posed again for a second photograph recreating the image this time with Xu as a fully grown adult.

The airline was so impressed when they saw the photograph that they arranged for him to continue his internship with the woman as his supervisor.
