This is the moment a curious boy has to be saved by the firefighters after he stuck his head between two glass doors at the entrance of a crowded hospital and could not move again.

The playful tot, three, had been taken to the hospital by his grandmother and was playing near the large glass doors when the accident happened on the morning of 27th October.

Footage from the county of Maguan, which is in south-western China’s Yunnan Province, shows the helpless boy lying face down in the hospital doors as his head is stuck between the hinges of two doors.

The toddler had spotted a gap in the doors and tried to climb through, but he trapped his head in the space instead and could not free himself.

Despite the lobby flooding with doctors and nurses, the local fire service was dispatched for the rescue job and sent six firemen to help.

Footage of the rescue shows the boy being shielded by one firefighter as another expands the door hinge using a heavy-duty hydraulic tool.

The crying boy is freed in a matter of minutes and reunited with his relieved gran.

He suffered no serious injuries, with hospital staff seen applauding the rescuers as well as the tot for staying brave, the video shows.
