This viral video – seen over 7 million times in less than 24 hours – shows firefighters taking an aerobics class when they suddenly dash out on an emergency call – leaving their clueless instructor dancing by herself.

Footage supplied to Asia Wire by the Konggang Fire Brigade in Jieyang City, which is in South China’s Guangdong Province, shows a dozen firefighters taking part in the dance lesson inside a gymnasium in a fire station.

However, the 12 firemen in their physical training gear suddenly stop their star jumps and begin running to their stations when an emergency call comes in and the sirens reportedly go off on 18th August.

All 12 firemen leave the gym, but their clueless dance teacher, who is wearing overhead earphones, is left practising the workout routine by herself.

The video shows her stepping side to side on the mat and doing aerobics exercises when she suddenly turns around to find all her students gone.

She takes off her headphones in shock and cannot help but smile when she realises what has happened.

Social media users have left comments in their hundreds laughing at the situation.

User ‘Zhangmusi Zhongwenwang Emperor’ wrote on China’s Twitter-like microblogging site Sina Weibo: “The teacher is like: Who am I? Where am I?”

‘Athosvie’ said: “You can see some of them are wondering whether to tell the instructor, but then they’re like never mind – the fire is more important.”
