This is the moment firefighters rescue a young boy who was missing for more than 30 hours from the bottom of a well near his village home.
The eight-year-old child, who has not been named, was last seen around 4pm local time on 24th August.
His family members in Xinye County, which is in Henan Province in Central China, contacted local authorities and filed a missing person report.
According to the local fire service, family members finally discovered the boy more than a day later at the bottom of the dry and disused well near his home.
The boy is thought to have been playing on his own when he fell into the well, which does not have a cover, and which is partially concealed by vegetation.
Rescue video shows a member of the fire service putting on an oxygen mask before being sent down a ladder to the boy’s location.
The boy is put in a harness and lifted back to the surface in an operation which took just five minutes, ending the search, which lasted more than 30 hours, at roughly 11pm on 25th August.
The boy reportedly suffered minor injuries when falling into the well.
He was taken to a hospital for treatment but was not in any life-threatening condition.
