Firemen Capture Bloated Python That Ate Goat And Cat

Six firefighters have captured an enormous 176-lb python with a huge bulging belly that is believed to have contained a cat and a goat.

The incident took place in Ladang Kopisan near the town of Gopeng in the north-western Malaysian state of Perak when the emergency services received a distress call at around 8.40am.

A team of firefighters were sent to the scene where they encountered a huge python that weighed 80 kilogrammes (176 lbs), according to reports.

As seen in the photos, the snake had a huge belly that is believed to have contained a goat and a cat that it had recently devoured.

In one image, two firefighters are seen holding onto one end of the long, bloated snake while another photo shows the menacing reptile appearing to approach a pair of goats despite having a more-than-full tummy.

According to local media, it took a brave team of six firefighters to capture the bloated reptile.

Operations chief Shapri Shaharudin told local media that the snake was captured using minimal equipment.

He added: “It needed six firemen to complete the operation by around 9.40am. We have since sent the reptile to Perhilitan [The Department of Wildlife and National Parks Peninsular Malaysia] for further action.”
