This is the moment a firefighter uses a power saw for his unique take on the online craze ‘bottle cap challenge’ made famous by celebrities such as Conor McGregor and Ryan Reynolds.

The incident was filmed at the Sentosa Fire Station in the island city-state of Singapore and the footage was shared on Facebook by the Singapore Civil Defence Force (SCDF) where it has been seen over 42,000 times.

The bottle cap challenge is the latest craze blowing up social media and singers such as Ellie Goulding and John Mayer have uploaded their attempts.

Usually, the participant tries to knock off a bottle cap with a spinning kick, but ‘Deadpool’ star Ryan Reynolds uploaded a funny version seen by over 10 million YouTube users where he sends the whole bottle crashing to the ground.

In the SCDF footage, a firefighter is seen standing in front of the bottle as if he is about to spin-kick the cap off as expected.

However, he bends down to pick up a noisy power saw which he uses to slice off the bottle top.

The SCDF accompanied the clip with the message: “Behind-the-scene look at our lifesavers’ forcible entry training.

“Don’t worry, our #bottlecapchallenge was done in good fun and with safety consideration (seriously don’t try this at home).
