Firefighters Rescue Girl, 4, From Bottom Of Well

This is the moment a young girl who has fallen to the bottom of a well is lifted to safety by rescuers as panicked relatives watch on.

The four-year-old from the village of Lijia in Changzhou City in China’s eastern Fujian Province was being minded by her 16-year-old sister when the accident happened on 30th April.

The teenage sibling was hanging laundry nearby when the girl wandered away from her and accidentally fell into the 13-foot well, landing in the groundwater below.

Her family members called rescuers for help, while relatives and neighbours tried to save the girl by lowering a bucket down the with using a rope made of bedsheets, which she clung to for 15 minutes.

Rescue footage shows the four-year-old still holding the makeshift rope when firefighters arrive and one of them is lowered down into the well.

Fireman Ye Yang, who was the skinniest member of his team, lifts the girl out of the well before she is carried into her home to be dried off, the video shows.

Fortunately, the young girl suffered no serious injuries and was discharged after a routine check-up.
