This is the moment firefighters destroy a toilet to free a woman who accidentally trapped her hand in the pipes while washing her shoes.

The unnamed homeowner from the district of Jiangyan, which is in coastal Taizhou City in East China’s Zhejiang Province, claimed she had dropped the shoelace from one of the shoes into the toilet bowl and tried to retrieve it.

Members of the fire service arrived in the woman’s home at roughly 10am local time on 16th June to find her right arm stuck in the pipes of her porcelain toilet.

Footage of the rescue shows the firefighters breaking apart the bottom of the toilet, smashing it with their tools as the woman winces and groans in pain.

They spent a reported 10 minutes destroying the woman’s toilet, and the video shows her letting out a large sigh of relief when they finally free her right hand.
