Luis Figo has said he forgives Brazilian striker Ronaldo for telling Real Madrid’s president that he would not have gone out so much in his career if he had had Figo’s stunning Swedish wife.

The former Real Madrid midfielder made the comments on the television show “El Hormiguero” (The Anthill) broadcast the Spanish channel “La Sexta” (The Sixth) which is filmed in the city.

In an interview, Ronaldo mentioned when he was asked by the club president to stay at home and stop going out “like his friend Figo” Ronaldo allegedly said, “President, if I had Figo’s wife, I would stay home every day”.

Figo, 46, laughed off the story saying: “I already knew about that because he mentioned it in the locker room.

“I know ‘Ronnie’ and I have a lot of love for him.”

Figo showed he is still very much in love with his WAG, Swedish model Helen Svedin saying “She is a collection of adjectives: elegant, attractive, sexy, a great mother and most importantly a great person.”

Figo also mentioned his start in international football when he was sold to Barcelona from Sporting Lisbon at 22 years old saying “I arrived at Barcelona in hopes of starting an international career.

“It was a good experience. I was not afraid, I really took to the city and the club. I started to live alone after living with my parents in Portugal.”

However, Figo assures “Barcelona at that time was a very different city than the one we are seeing now but it is still a fantastic city to live in.”

It is unclear if Figo is referring to the current political unrest happening in the city after several political figures were convicted for participating in illegal elections.

Taking advantage of his trip to the Spanish capital, Figo was also seen with other former Galaticos as they ate d in a restaurant.

The picture shows former central defender Fernando Hierro, 51, assistant manager Toni Grande, 72, legendary striker Raul Gonzalez, 42, ex-manager Vicente del Bosque, 68 and Figo.

The Portuguese star captioned the snap: “Great lunch with great friend (sic)”.

The players and managers were all at Real Madrid during the late 1990’s and early 2000’s.
