Newcastle United legend Faustino Asprilla has celebrated his 50th birthday by dancing and partying with friends like a 20-year-old.

Colombian legend Asprilla celebrated his 50th on Sunday 10th November surrounded by friends and family in his homeland.

The videos show the moment Asprilla dances with his former Atletico Nacional teammate Victor Aristizabal, 47, as they both embrace and laugh along with other friends at the party.

In another video, Asprilla can be seen smiling as several of the party-goers sing ‘happy birthday’ as a large flame burns atop his big birthday cake and several friends record the moment on their phones.

Local media report some of the guests included actors, models and former Colombian football legends which totalled over 100 attendees at the party.

Asprilla spoke about today’s football with friends saying “I do not understand why the hell they run to the end of the pitch stop their dribble and kick to the centre if you have already beat the defender.

“You made it to the end of the pitch kick the ball, do not look for anyone, you already did your job.”

Asprilla also thanked his former club Atletico Nacional saying they are “a club where I met a lot of people that are important in my life”.

Asprilla scored 20 goals in 57 appearances and won the FIFA sixth-best-player in the world in 1993.

He played for Newcastle for two seasons, scoring nine goals in 48 Premier League appearances and nine goals in 11 European matches.

He also played for Italian side Parma.
