This gory snow scene shows a blood-sucking skeletal ‘snow-monster’ being captured by two smaller snowmen.

The unusual snow figures were photographed in the city of Kazan in the western Russian republic of Tatarstan and the snaps were later widely shared on social media.

In the photo, the tall snow-monster has a wide-opened mouth with sharp fangs, a skeletal body and lots of blood around its mouth.

Blood also appears to be oozing from several wounds caused by two small snowmen trying to capture the icy beast.

They are seen just behind the main ice sculpture with ropes attached to hooks that have pierced the snow-monster’s body.

It also appears to have a wooden sword protruding from the side of its bloodied abdomen.

To top it all off, there is hammer embedded in the snow-monster’s skull.

Meanwhile a smaller snowman has a sharp disc sticking out of its slit throat.

Netizen ‘Denis Tomilov’ said: “I think this snowman is the perfect scarecrow to shoo away drunk people and small kids from someone’s garden. They simply wouldn’t dare after seeing that!”

‘Veronika Matveeva’ commented: “Seems like someone has had a lot of time on their hands.”

‘Elena Zakharova’ wrote: “I think it looks vile!”
