A couple’s TikTok page detailing their perfect marriage was revealed to be a sham that was exposed when the husband finally killed his 29-year-old wife and then tried to kill their eight-year-old boy.

Alexander Pinedo Barron confessed to ending the life of his wife, Marilyn Martinez Gonzales, 29, and trying to kill their son before planning to commit suicide.

In the end though, he admitted he was too much of a “coward” to take his own life.

The cruel event took place on 16th January at the couple’s home in San Borja, Peru.

Neighbours reportedly heard cries for help and called police, who only arrived to find a scene of carnage.

They discovered Marilyn’s butchered body lying dead on the floor with over 30 stab wounds, while her son ran out to save himself from Barron’s rage.

Later, Barron allegedly told police how he slaughtered his wife with a kitchen knife, and also tried to kill their eight-year-old son, who witnessed the femicide but was miraculously able to escape.

Barron said: “When I killed her, I saw her bone, I saw all the blood coming out and then I said ‘this is my turn,’ but I’m such a coward that I couldn’t commit suicide.”

The couple used to make TikTok videos of their “beautiful life”, making everyone believe they could not be happier and more in love.

But within laid a bitter reality, one that ended with the horrific murder of Marilyn because of her husband’s jealousy, family members claim.

She was starting to become extremely popular on TikTok, but apparently, Barron could not handle all the attention she was getting.

Her family also claims he forced her into creating the videos of their “happy marriage” as a way of marking his territory.

Marilyn was a healthy lifestyle advocate and often posted about her exercise routines on social media.

She appeared as though she had it all – but she was dealing with constant abuse from her husband behind the scenes, as her family claims.

It is the tenth femicide so far this year in Peru, according to reports.
