A pensioner struggling to pay the bills after losing her job has won a GBP 458,686 lottery win.
Elderly Dosta Andonoska from the city of Kichevo, North Macedonia, was named as the winner of the 7 numbers of Lotto 7 prize by the Macedonian State Lottery in a posting on its official Facebook page.
Dosta, known to her loved ones as Dolly, was described as a wonderful, energetic woman who lost a job through bankruptcy and is currently a pensioner, wife, mother and grandmother.
They said: “Our winner came to the premises of the State Lottery with the electronic confirmation of the payment of her lucky numbers. The win is confirmed; that’s it, our 27th lotto millionaire.”
“The winning numbers are 2, 10, 11, 12, 24, 36, и 37.”
The GBP 458,686 win translates as almost 33 million denars in the local currency.
They continued: “A meeting was held with the general director of the State Lottery in a cordial conversation, during which we learned that she has been playing for more than 45 years and tirelessly believes in luck.
“In recent years, she has been playing the same 4 basic combination, only changing the fifth combination that finally brought her the win.”
One combination contains 7 numbers in the North Macedonian lottery.
She concluded that in order to win, others need to be filled with faith in luck and a feeling that they will win.
She said she remained convinced that one day she would get a 7 and over the years, has participated in all different types of lotto games.
She plans to use the cash to help her family and give them all their wishes for a good future.
