Cesc Fabregas has revealed he has to send pictures of all his meals to AS Monaco’s nutritionists during the coronavirus lockdown so they can check them as the midfielder opens up on his life in isolation.

Monaco midfielder Fabregas, 32, made the comments during an exclusive interview with Spanish newspaper ‘Marca’ where he spoke about his day-to-day life with his family.

Fabregas has been in quarantine in his home in Monaco after Ligue 1 was suspended last week due to the coronavirus outbreak, officially named COVID-19 by the World Health Organization.

When speaking about their days together, the Spain midfielder said they “are just like everybody else, locked in our house in Monaco because of our social responsibility to not spread the virus.

“At the start of the week, we went to the training facilities to pick up some gym equipment. We also brought static bikes and strength training equipment home.

“There is no other way because nobody knows how many weeks we are going to be isolated and not training together.”

When speaking about his own regiment Fabregas said: “I try to do exercise at least one hour every day, maybe a bit more. There is not much else that professional footballers can do as we obviously can’t go for a run or anything.”

The former Arsenal star went on to say: “At least this time is helping me do things that I have been able to do very little throughout my career. I wake up and I have breakfast with my kids.

“I have lunch and dinner with them and I put them to bed. It is a privilege that we have to enjoy because unfortunately, I have never been able to be with them for such an extended period of time in the day-to-day.”

The midfielder explained: “We have to look at the brighter side, I am sure the same thing happens to a lot of people who can only spend time with their loved ones in these type of circumstances and we have to take advantage of it.

Fabregas also revealed players “have to send pictures” of their meals so the club “nutritionists can see what we have for breakfast, lunch and dinner. Everything is very controlled, as it should be.”

The Spanish international married his wife Daniella Semaan, 44, in 2018 who he has had three children with. Semaan had two kids from a previous marriage before marrying Fabregas.

Fabregas was sold to Monaco in January 2019 for a reported 8.9 million GBP after five seasons at Chelsea helping the club win the Premier League twice and the FA Cup once.
