Gorgeous ex-Miss Universe Paulina Vega has been criticised by fans for appearing “thin and ill” after presenting a new music show in her home country Colombia.

The dreamy model, who was crowned Miss Colombia in 2013 and subsequently Miss Universe in 2014, presented the new TV show ‘A Otro Nivel, Canta Conmigo’ (‘On Another Level, Sing With Me’) on the channel Canal Caracol.

However, after her appearance on the show, many netizens felt that she appeared skinny and “ill”.

‘LauHamman’ commented: “Don’t you think that Paulina Vega is too thin and looks ill?”

‘Sheila182’ said: “Paulina Vega is beautiful, but I can’t stand her stick-like appearance, she looks like she is about to snap.”

However, ‘CamiloReyes1086’ wrote: “The fact that Paulina Vega’s weight is a trending topic on Twitter shows how bad we are as a society.”

‘Lorek03’ said: “I do not understand what the problem is. If Paulina is too thin or not, that is her issue. If she likes how she is, good for her. In this country, no one is satisfied. It’s bad if you’re overweight and bad if you’re slim.”

Before becoming a trending topic on social media, Vega wrote: “I don’t know why you feel it’s okay to talk positively or negatively about my body without asking.

“Please stop commenting on someone’s body if it’s only in a superficial way. And if any girls following me want to have a beautiful body, I believe it is worth the effort.

“Working on your health is always worth it. I have seen silly things like ‘I only eat salad’ or ‘I only eat pizza and burgers’, but is that really advice? Be happy, don’t worry about your trouser size.”
