Dad-of-four Amir Raz pleaded guilty to aggravated murder charges at the Lod District Court in Israel on 1st March.

He had earlier claimed that he tied up his three eldest children with a 27-foot-long rope as part of a game.

Raz allegedly carried out the slaying in the Israeli settlement of Na’ale in the West Bank in 2021 after his wife splashed him with coffee during a blazing row.

After tying three of their children up, he is said to have strangled victim Diana Raz and stabbed her in the thigh with a 20-inch-long kitchen knife.

Then, he finished her off with bullets in the leg and head fired from his service weapon.

The couple’s baby was not tied up but also witnessed the killing.

After Diana was dead, Raz reportedly phoned his mum to ask her to pick up the kids before calling his commander.

Chillingly, he is said to have barked at the sobbing children: “Yes! There is no more mommy.”

In a cruel twist of irony, the victim was a relationship coach who had spent 14 years counselling thousands of women on abusive partnerships.

Following the hearing, the victim’s sister, Marianna, told local media: “Hearing him admit to it, and not deny his actions – it was the most valuable achievement that I could have hoped for over the past two years.”

The trial is ongoing.
