EX BURNED ALIVE IN BLAZE HORROR: Former Boyfriend Torched Home

A man accused of burning his ex alive when he torched her home while she was sleeping inside has been seized by police in Argentina.

Victim Valeria Graciela Scharton died in agony in the inferno started by her former partner Ariel Oscar Reglero, 42.

Horrified neighbours told police they could hear the mum-of-three’s harrowing cries for help as she screamed: “Help, he’s killing me!”

Shocking video footage of the fire shows huge flames and plumes of smoke billowing from the building as firefighters arrive.

Reglero was arrested and charged with the aggravated murder of his ex at her home in El Jaguel.

Valeria, 38, died in hospital on 31st December after suffering burns to 95 per cent of her body a day after the fire.

Neighbours had tried to put out the flames with buckets of water as they called emergency services.

Firefighters had gone to the scene, put out the blaze and rushed both Valeria and Reglero to hospital in Monte Grande.

Reglero suffered minor burns to his torso, hands, and one arm in the blaze, local media reported.

He was detained upon his release from hospital.

Police say there was a pending arrest warrant against him from June 2015 for aggravated burglary and theft.

It is not clear where Valeria’s children were at the time of the alleged crime and who is now looking after them.
