Hollywood star Colin Farrell has been spotted making frequent visits to a kebab shop in Budapest while reportedly trying to remain incognito behind a bushy beard and baseball cap.

Hari Kebab in the northern Hungarian capital posted a photo of the Irish actor – known for his late night antics until he checked into rehab in 2006 – with staff members on Facebook and mentioned that he had been visiting the food store for four days before workers realised who it was behind the full beard and muscly new look.

They only tumbled it was Farrell when he paid his last bill with a credit card.

Netizen ‘Anna’, who is a huge fan of the 43-year-old Golden Globe winner, told local media that she visited Hari Kebab and quizzed staff members about his visits to the establishment.

She said: “Colin Farrell is one of my favourite actors. I was thrilled when I saw the restaurant’s Facebook post. He is here in Hungary! I live close to the kebab restaurant so as soon as it was possible, I went there and asked for the same food that Colin ordered.

“The staff said they did not recognise him at first because of his bushy beard, but paying by credit card exposed him.

“After discovering his identity, they said he was very nice and friendly and that he returned to the shop during the day.

“I asked what he ordered, and every time he ate a small doner kebab with veal, a lot of onions, lettuce and spicy sauce, but no tomato because he does not like it.”

According to local media, the Irish actor is in Hungary to shoot the upcoming BBC miniseries ‘The North Water’.

Reports also said that instead of resting during shoots, the actor enjoys exploring the Hungarian capital.
