A 19-year-old aunt accused of torturing and raping four children for two years is facing more than 200 abuse charges after being seized by police.

Suspect Anais Munoz – an aunt to three of the victims – is accused of branding the children with hair straighteners, and burning, beating and choking them.

Police say the victims were aged from just seven years old to 13.

The two older children were also forced to have sex with her and even sent out to buy drugs for her, reports local media in Passaic, New Jersey state, USA.

Munoz is said to have begun the sick torture almost immediately after she was offered a place to live by a family member in Chester, Delaware County, Pennsylvania, in 2020.

District Attorney Jack Stollsteimer said the abuse included using implements.

Local media reports that the victims were throttled with cords, beaten with a baseball bat and hit with hammers.

A hair straightener was repeatedly used on the two oldest victims, burning their buttocks, thighs and genital areas.

After her arrest Munoz was detained in the Passaic County.

She is expected to be extradited to Delaware County later today (Jan 25) to be arraigned on charges of child endangerment, aggravated indecent assault, involuntary deviate sexual intercourse, sexual assault and other crimes.

Detectives described it as a campaign of “physical and mental torture.”
